The Atazar Reservoir and the north mountain range of Madrid .....EL Embalse del Atazar y la Sierra Norte de Madrid.....

            The El Atazar reservoir is the largest in the Community of Madrid: with a capacity of 425.3 hm³, it represents 46% of the region's dammed volume. It was built in 1972, being one of the most important works of the dictatorship of Francisco Franco. It is the fifth reservoir in the direction of the current that is Lozoya River in its path and belongs to the Canal de Isabel II network.

El embalse de El Atazar es el mayor de la Comunidad de Madrid: con una capacidad de 425,3 hm³, representa el 46 % del volumen embalsado de la región. Fue construido en 1972, siendo una de las obras más importantes de la dictadura de Francisco Franco. Es el quinto embalse en el sentido de la corriente que se encuentra el río Lozoya a su paso y pertenece a la red del Canal de Isabel II.
