La Antigua Estacion de " Las Delicias", The Old Station of "Las Delicias"

            La estación de Delicias, también conocida históricamente como Madrid-Delicias,2​3​ fue una importante estación ferroviaria española situada en la ciudad de Madrid y que estuvo operativa durante casi un siglo, entre 1880 y 1969. Las instalaciones se encuentran situadas en el madrileño paseo de las Delicias.

Inaugurada en 1880, fue la primera estación monumental construida en la ciudad. Durante muchos años constituyó la cabecera de los expresos que iban a Portugal y el Oeste del país, y tras la Guerra Civil pasó a integrarse en la red de la nueva RENFE. Aunque a finales de la década de 1960 llegó a ser por corto tiempo una de las cuatro estaciones más importantes de Madrid (junto a Atocha, Chamartín y Norte), para aquella época ya había pasado su anterior etapa de esplendor. Fue clausurada en 1969​ al servicio de viajeros, siendo posteriormente utilizada como depósito de material. En la actualidad ya no presta servicio ferroviario y en sus antiguas instalaciones alberga el Museo del Ferrocarril de la Fundación de los Ferrocarriles Españoles.
The Delicias station, also known historically as Madrid-Delicias,2​3​ was an important Spanish railway station located in the city of Madrid and which was in operation for almost a century, between 1880 and 1969. The facilities are located in the Madrid's Paseo de las Delicias.

Inaugurated in 1880, it was the first monumental station built in the city. For many years it was the head of the expresses that went to Portugal and the West of the country, and after the Civil War it became part of the new RENFE network. Although at the end of the 1960s it became for a short time one of the four most important stations in Madrid (together with Atocha, Chamartín and Norte), by that time it had already passed its previous stage of splendor. It was closed in 1969 to the passenger service, being later used as a material deposit. Currently, it no longer provides railway service and in its old facilities it houses the Railway Museum of the Spanish Railways Foundation.
