Bald eagle juvenile (Pygargue à tête blanche)

            Cap Tourmente National Wildlife Area (Réserve nationale de faune du cap Tourmente).

After about 30 minutes of observation on a very calm morning, I was about to leave when I decided to take a peak outside the covered post to feel the drizzle that was just starting.  That is when I noticed this imposing silhouette in the closest tree on the other side of the post.  I never heard it coming.  I was cautious to move very slowly and silently to take position.  I had almost an hour alone with him to observe and shoot.
