Mara landscape with fallen tree and Cheetah (Explored)

            I went through editorial contortions trying to gain separation  between the figure of the cheetah and its rather sere and barren background. Always the weathered wood of the fallen fig tree looked wonderful, but the cheetah didn't pop out in the way that I had seen it do with my own eyes when in the field with it. 

Of course that's the cheetah's camouflaged coat at work, doing its job all too effectively from a photographer's point of view. It does pop out in binocular 3D, but not in the 2D plane of the photograph.
