            Barfleur (France) - Cette commune de la Manche est surtout connue pour son petit port toujours très actif avec la pratique d’une pêche artisanale, traditionnelle et côtière. Ce port attire chaque année de nombreux touristes qui en oublient souvent d’aller visiter le village, pourtant considéré comme l’un des plus beaux de France. En tout cas c’est le classement que lui accorde l’office régional du tourisme. Mieux vaut aller sur place pour se faire sa propre opinion. Personnellement, lorsque je travaillais à Cherbourg (Manche), il y a quelques année, c’était mon lieu de promenade préféré. Il ne faut pas hésiter à quitter les quais où sont amarrés les unités de pêche pour se perdre dans les ruelles du village aux maisons de granit et musarder sur cette plage (photo) à une minute à pied à l’ouest du port.

Barfleur (France) - This town in the Channel is best known for its small port which is still very active with the practice of artisanal, traditional and coastal fishing. This port attracts many tourists every year who often forget to visit the village yet considered one of the most beautiful in France. In any case, this is the classification granted to it by the regional tourist office. Better to go there to make up your own mind. Personally, when I worked in Cherbourg (Manche), a few years ago, it was my favorite place to walk. Do not hesitate to leave the quays where the fishing boats are moored to get lost in the alleys of the village with its granite houses and dawdle on this beach (photo) a minute's walk west of the port.
