On Christmas Eve 1976, Lucy and Ricardo come down from the mountain to the city center. The reason was to buy presents for Christmas. Lucy's pregnancy seemed to have made her even more beautiful, her face had a pearly complexion and her smile, almost permanent, lit up everywhere she went. In an antique store, Ricardo was surprised by an old college classmate.

En vísperas de la navidad de 1976, Lucy y Ricardo, bajan de la montaña con rumbo al centro de la ciudad. La razón, era comprar regalos para la navidad. El embarazo de Lucy, parecía haberla embellecida, aun mas, su cara era de una tez perlada y su sonrisa, casi permanente, iluminaba cualquier lugar donde ella asistía. En un local de venta de antigüedades, Ricardo es sorprendido por un aviejo colega de la facultad.
-Ricardo, sos vos? Gira su cuerpo en sentido al que le hablo tan efusivamente.
- Sergio, no puedo creerlo pensé que,….
-que me habían matado?
-si , en verdad era eso lo que averigüe, después de meses de buscarte.
- sabes que tengo más vidas que los gatos,….
Bajo la mirada atenta de Lucy, ellos se abrazaron como si Sergio, hubiese resucitado.
-Ven, te presento a mi hermana, vivo con ella, él es Sergio un antiguo colega en el profesorado, y todos pensamos que había sido secuestrado.
- un gusto conocer a un amigo de mi hermano, espero que nos visite en esta navidad, nuestra casa es su casa .
La mirada de Sergio, se modificó, como si algo, lo impacientaba.
-¿Disculpe, me escucho? Lo invitamos a nuestra casa.
-ahh , perdón me distraje, si claro, pero no creo poder hacerlo, debo irme enseguida.
-Sergio, que dices, recién nos volvemos a encontrar después de que te creía muerto y ahora te vas, no te entiendo, explícame por favor. Le pide preocupado Ricardo.
Sergio se acerca a Ricardo y lo abraza, muy nervioso, tanto, que se podía sentir el golpeteo de su corazón contra el pecho de Ricardo. El abrazo era una excusa, una forma de ocultar ante alguien o algunos, lo que le diría:
Perdóname, no pude negarme meses de torturas, noches que permanecía desnudo sin poder dormir por tantos baldazos de agua fría, la picana (elemento eléctrico, que emite descargas eléctricas) en cada parte de mi cuerpo, perdóname, perdóname.
-que debo perdonarte, pregunta Ricardo,
-Mira por sobre mi hombro, podrás ver un falcón verde, son un grupo de tarea, ellos me obligaron a marcarte (marcar, en la jerga de los centros de detención era, apoyar a los secuestradores a encontrar a sus presas, a cambio, ellos, le permitían seguir vivos) No dejes de abrazarme, ellos apenas salgas te llevaran a un centro de detención para interrogarte, a vos y lamentablemente a tu hermana. Cuando te suelte corre hacia la puerta trasera del local, que yo intentaré pararlos cuando entren. A la cuenta de tres , agarra del brazo a tu hermana, corre, rápido y si puedes perdóname. Uno, dos tres,….
Sergio lo suelta y de inmediato va hacia la entrada para frenar a los secuestradores, mientras ve que Ricardo y Lucy llegaban a la puerta trasera del local. Se escucha gritos y un balazo certero sobre el pecho de Sergio que cae mortalmente al suelo. Dos de los secuestradores disparan, pero no dan sobre sus blancos inmediatamente empieza una persecución a los hermanos, pero a solo tres cuadras son apresados. Son separados y subidos, en dos autos los cuales rápidamente salen del lugar.
Han pasado mas de 5 meses desde que secuestraron a Lucy, Luis no ha parado un solo día de intentar saber sobre el destino de su amada, eclesiásticos, policías, terratenientes, jueces, donde presento un habeas corpus, el centro de madres de plaza de mayo en la capital de la provincia. Pero nada.
En esa época, en los primeros meses del golpe de estado se creía que, si apresaban a una mujer embarazada, la soltarían de inmediato, pero luego al pasar de los meses y ver cada día mas madres, los días jueves, dando la vuelta una y un millón de veces al monumento de la plaza de mayo, Plaza frente a la sede del gobierno, daban datos con las fotos de sus hijas embarazadas, desparecidas. Luego se supo que hubo un plan sistemático de robos de bebes.
Luis con su vieja y añorada camioneta Volkswagen como casa, de vez en cuando, cuando el alcohol no le nubla su mente hace alguna artesanía y las vende por distintos lugares, siempre viajando, siempre buscándola, soñando que un día aparecerá con su sonrisa, iluminado el lugar, que podrá abrazarla hasta que sienta que su piel se une a la de ella, escuchar cuando le decía te amo, más que a nadie ni a nada en el mundo, volver a ese día en el bar cuando la vio entrar, esas lágrimas de felicidad,……
Ya Luis no escucha a The Beatles, de vez en cuanto, cree oír la voz de Lucy, cantando, allí en esa famosa casa : UNA CHICA CON OJOS DE CALEIDOSCOPIO, FLORES DE CELOFAN AMARILLAS Y VERDES AMONTONADOSE SOBRE TU CABEZA, BUSCAS A LA CHICA CON EL SOL EN SUS OJOS Y SE HA IDO,…LUCY EN EL CIELO CON DIAMANTES
