Die ehemalige Abteikirche St. Peter und Paul in Königslutter, wegen ihrer Stifter Kaiser Lothar III. von Süpplingenburg und Kaiserin Richenza Kaiserdom genannt, zählt zu den herausragenden Bauwerken der Romanik in Deutschland. Der Kaiserdom ist Teil der europäischen Kulturroute TRANSROMANICA, die das gemeinsame kulturelle Erbe der Romanik über neun europäische Länder hinweg verbindet. Der Kaiserdom befindet sich im Eigentum der Stiftung Braunschweigischer Kulturbesitz.
