Wisteria Cottage, Turville, Buckinghamshire

            Yellow roses and wisteria on this 17th century cottage in lovely, remote Turville. The huge chimney has a very picturesque, if alarming lean, although not so noticeable from this angle. BLB states it has an oven 'for drying chair legs', a survivor from the days when the Chilterns were the centre of English Windsor chair making, and the reason for those seemingly endless beechwoods.

A rather close crop of the cottage as its neighbour on the right was covered in scaffolding.
