Barnett's Coach Travel SN55 BNA, SN55 BNZ & SN55 BKU

            To quote Warden Samuel Norton in the 1994 classic ‘The Shawshank Redemption’: “I can't say I approve of this. But, I suppose... exceptions can be made.”

Since the last Barnett's photo featuring a Gemini did so well, I decided to upload a photo from my recent visit to the Barnett's depot last August. As you may have observed in my last upload of a Barnett's bus, this small independent coach company has taken in ten ex-Lothian 55-plate Gemini's straight from Lothian, painted over the yellow sales line back into madder, and pushed them straight back out into service. Why? Because Barnett's just got a whole plethora of school contracts this year. I'm not sure where and how many, but its enough to require the buyout of around ten ex-Lothian Gemini's and dump them both in their Hull and Newport depots.

Taken during a depot visit while they were late in the process of being readied for school contracts services, three of Barnett's Coach Travel/Fairway Rhodes Travel's ex-Lothian 2005 Wright Eclipse Gemini's - SN55 BNA, SN55 BNZ and SN55 BKU, ex-Lothian 728, 741 and 712 respectively - are seen here lined up in the Barnett's yard just in front of the infamous waste-to-energy plant at rest and receiving attention before the September school contracts begin. I can confirm that they retain their Lothian-spec rollblinds, however they don't work and their destination is shown as a piece of paper in the window.
