First LeedsCity ‘Electric’ 68802 - YD70 CGG

            Another new batch off the list! At last, a chance to finally see Leeds' new Yutongs! And to be honest? I was a bit skeptical about their entry to the UK at first, but after seeing this, as well as the 'Voltra' brand up in Newcastle, I think they've really rather grown on me. These really do seem to fit the new LeedsCity fleet! I wonder what these are like to ride, if first impressions on the exterior interest me enough. Of course, note that this isn't actually running a route, but is instead operating as an extra driver trainer bus. Given the current crisis of missing drivers, lately, I suppose First needs all the trainers they can get.

My first photo of one of these interesting electric single deckers, and possibly of my first full-size electric single decker, First LeedsCity's 'Electric'-branded 68802, a 2020 Yutong E10, is seen here coming down Boar Lane while likely placed on an emergency driver training run to try and help alleviate the West Yorkshire element of the national bus driver shortage crisis.
