'The Day's Wet Start further Deteriorates' - Loughborough, Leicestershire - 6.10.2018

            Today's ' Autumnal Dire Weather' at home - gales and driving rain mirrors the weather when taking this shot on Saturday 6th October 2018 - Day 3 of the Great Central Railway's 2018 Autumn Steam Gala. 

It's now 10.35am - still cold, wet, dark and now windy - one and one half hours later and 100m distant from my earlier location and posting. I'm now sheltering under an over bridge. 

Here we see Riddles designed BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92214 Leicester City working hard on the climb towards Woodthorpe with its passenger train for Leicester North. 

Because it s now so dark, the Semaphore Signals' Lights are on too! Despite the conditions this was again well worth the soaking!
