1950 Saga Men’s Adventure Magazine

            Vintage September 1950 issue of men’s adventure magazine, Saga - the Magazine of True Adventure. While the majority of these magazines had covers with scantily clad women and antagonists that were always depicted as less than human, there was also a segment of the genre that depicted rugged men and/or wild animal covers and actually told real stories. While I prefer the former, as an art student I could still appreciate the illustration aspect of these covers and am sharing this for those that may be interested. Looking back at it now the covers were always the best part of the magazine. It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!
