Longhorn on English Rd. - a photo on Flickriver

            Taking photos of livestock is always fun and sometimes challenging in getting just the right pose, composition, and exposure. All three came together for me as this tremendous longhorn turned and looked right at me for his portrait shot!

I photographed this scene with my Minolta SRT-303 film SLR loaded with Ilford HP5 Plus 400 35mm black and white film. I used my Hanimex 2.8 135mm lens for a closer look. After getting negatives and prints back from the lab, I scanned the negative with my Epson V600 film scanner, matching the print.
