Espagne, l'île de la Grande Canarie, le Cenobio grenier à grain

            Au nord de Grande Canarie se trouve un des sites archéologiques aux dimensions les plus spectaculaires des Îles Canaries : le monastère de Valerón. Il s'agit d'un énorme grenier collectif que les anciens canariens ont aménagé pour stocker les céréales, aliment de base de leur régime. L'ensemble est constitué de plus de 300 silos taillés dans la roche tendre, connectés entre eux à différents niveaux. Cet ouvrage de génie civil préhistorique vaut la peine d'être visité pour sa valeur patrimoniale et culturelle.
