VDV 137S - a photo on Flickriver

VDV 137S

            VDV 137S 937. Bristol VRT/SL3/6LXB with ECW convertible body new to NBC Devon General in 1977. One of 11 convertibles new to Torbay and named after Royal Navy warships. Named 'Victory' later transferred to Newquay becoming part of Western National fleet on privatisation. In 1990 transferred to Badgerline at Bath for Guide Friday tour numbered 8606 and named 'Minerva'. Carried 3 liveries, numbered 39937 and was last VR to operate for successors to Bristol Omnibus Company. First Somerset & Avon donated 39937 to WHOTT on 24/2/05 and painted in original livery. Dorchester running day 14-8-22. I remember well the Warships when new operating in Torbay. I lived and worked there 1975-2006 and also remember working in Bath as 'Minerva'.
