Marble Canyon, Grand Canyon's Beginning 2015

This part of the Grand Canyon most visitors miss. Sometimes they obliviously drive over it . Yes, you can drive over the Grand Canyon at this spot on the Navajo Bridge. It is called Marble Canyon and is the beginning of the big canyon. North of this point is Lee's Ferry where the rafters begin their exhilarating journey down the Colorado River.  
The photo is shot from the pedestrian bridge which is 600 feet above the water. That used to be the auto bridge but has been replaced by a more modern one. Now they comprise the twin bridges on the Navajo Nation.
