CLOVIS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BUS 32

            I thought I lost these pictures for good. I am now happy I found them. This is Bob sitting in bus 32 which he had brand new in 1963. If my memory serves me correct, he drove 32 till 1969. He had several permanent busses throughout his 33 year career. He started driving for Clovis in 1958 before the district was "Unified". I remember him telling me that he was the one who painted "Clovis Unified School District" on the busses when the district changed from Jefferson School District for example. He said he worked in the middle of the summer nights doing this because it was cooler and did not catch the suns glare from the orange paint. I would love to have made copies of his pics showing this bus in the early 1960's when it snowed in Clovis. I wrote in my album, that while I took this picture he said, "This is the last time I will probably ever sit in this chair again before they ship her off". ..He always referred to old 32 as "His Baby"...March 1990
