Lost In Time...

            Chimney Rock is a national historic site in Western Nebraska, This sandstone rock formation was a major landmark along the Oregon Trail used by travelers between the Atlantic Seaboard and the Pacific Ocean. It was first used as a landmark by fur traders in the early 19th century. For early westbound travelers it meant they were near the end of the Great Plains and the beginning of the Rocky Mountains. What interesting stories could be told by this amazing landmark.
