The Not So Chipper Chippy - a photo on Flickriver

            Looked outside my basement window to check on the feeders and happened to catch this Chipmunk standing on the end of the gutter, not looking very happy.  And just a wee bit soggy.

The previous day, I noticed a fresh pile of pine straw that looked like it had washed out of the gutter following a very heavy thunderstorm we'd just had.   Now I'm wondering if Chippy had been trying to build a nest in the gutter only to learn the hard way living in the gutter is not the way to go?
