Trying To Blend In

            We have quite a few sparrows in our yard, and just glancing out the window they all pretty much look alike.

Only when I take time to do actual birdwatching with my camera do our little visitors truly come into view.  Case in point - here is a White Throated Sparrow.  They show up late fall and stick around for a while.

This one was foraging next to our gardenia bush, seemingly trying to stay out of sight, using the garden border for cover.  The arrival of these colorful little birds is another sign winter us just around the corner.

Hopefully next time I see one it won't have food in its mouth, but at least this wasn't a feeder shot.  LOL!
