Français : Relief dit de « l'Athéna contemplative». La déesse vêtue d'un péplos attique et coiffé d'un casque corinthien s'appuie sur sa lance. La tête légèrement penchée, elle contemple une stèle rectangulaire devant elle, peut-être une borne de limite d'un sanctuaire, ou bien une stèle funéraire. Vers 460 a. C. Musée de l'Acropole d'Athènes, n°695.
English: Relief of the so-called "Contemplative Athena". The goddess wears an Attic peplos and a Corinthian herlmet; she rests her head on her spear. The head slightly bowed, she contemplates a rectangular stele in front of her, perhaps a terminal boundary of a sanctuary, or a tombstone. Ca. 460 BC. Museum of the Acropolis in Athens, No. 695.
