A Leicester D9 - a photo on Flickriver

A Leicester D9

            Midland Red BMMO D9 5317 works a local Leicester service in Abbey Street, near to St Margarets bus station, on 9 July 1976. 

According to the excellent history of the D9 by Mike Greenwood and Steve Richards, 5317 was more of a Stafford vehicle, being allocated there from new in 1963, until withdrawal twelve years later. It was only reallocated to Leicester when reinstated later in 1975, working there until July 1977.
