TSS Earnslaw Lake Wakatipu NZ xv - a photo on Flickriver

The grand old lady of Lake Wakatipu - TSS Earnslaw - leaves Walter Peak High Country Farm to return to Queenstown. This coal fired 168 foot long steamer still makes a number of trips every day on Lake Wakatipu in NZ's South Island, providing pleasant scenic cruises for tourists and locals. It is a great way to explore the area. The Earnslaw is 100 yrs old in a few months. More details can be found here:

This particular evening we went on the Walter Peak Cruise and after stopping off at the Walter Peak Station Homestead where we enjoyed a wonderful 3 course buffet meal, we returned about 3 hrs later to Queenstown on the Earnslaw. A very pleasant evening.
