Rollei 35B Notes (40) - a photo on Flickriver

            Rollei B 35
German (made in Singapore) 35mm viewfinder camera.
Production period : 1969 to 1978 (First as the 35B but re-named as the B 35 in 1976)

So the original Carl Zeiss Triotar Front lens was scratched beyond rescue :-(

Luckily a retired Rollei repairman here in the Netherlands had still one for sale (Hans, wanneer je dit leest, nogmaals bedankt !).

The new lens is indeed a lot newer as it was no longer produced by Carl Zeiss but in license by Rollei.
The cross-slotted screws would indicate that it probably originates from a Rollei 35 LED.
Also note that the Rollei lens no longer bears a serial number.
