Inspired by the red Chevrolet 1957 Bel Air Convertible featured on the cover of the Lego book from 2001, this 1957 Nomad wagon blends classic looks with a fully featured technic underpinnings. 

The Nomad wagon, in itself, an iconic model of mid-50s Americana. Originally the 1957 model was to have received a new body design, to be be shared with the 1958 model. It wasn't ready in time (making the 1958 a one-year-only design), and so the 1957 was an updated 1956 body. New, larger fins, more chrome, and the iconic side trim make this model a period favourite. 

1957 was also the last year of the 2-door hardtop wagon design. It was priced at the upper end of the Chevrolet price tree, and sold in relatively low numbers.
