            SÜDAFRIKA( South-Africa), Im Kruger-Nationalpark. 
Die Impalas sind eine Gattung afrikanischer Antilopen, die gleichzeitig die monotypische Tribus der Aepycerotini bilden. Die Gattung umfasst mit der Schwarzfersenantilope und der Schwarznasenimpala zwei Arten. Diese kommen im östlichen und südlichen Afrika vor, wo sie offene, mit Busch- und Baumbestand durchsetzte Landschaften bewohnen. Äußerlich ähneln die Impalas mittelgroßen Antilopen. Charakteristisch sind ihr schlanker Körperbau mit gerader Rückenlinie und langen Beinen sowie der langgestreckte Kopf. Als auffälligstes Merkmal kann die schwarze Fersenzeichnung herausgestellt werden. Hörner sind nur bei männlichen Individuen ausgebildet. Die Tiere leben in kleinen Herden bestehend aus den Mutter- und Jungtieren.
