Papaver heterophyllum (Wind poppy) detail

            in bloom March 31, 2019 in a recently burned area (Woolsey Fire, November 8, 2018). At Triunfo Creek Park. Low growing usually with single orange flower on a thin tall stalk ca. 10-20 cm high. Usually intermixed with other flowers (phacelia) but taller than those. Common. But many individual flowers rather than a continuous patch.
