Supper is served

            We stayed for a week in a cottage, converted to holiday lets from some some old farm buildings.   A big bonus was a Barn Owl's nest box in the top of what was the barn, with a live webcam of the 5 chicks inside.  At dusk, the parents would start arriving with an assortment of mice and voles which they dropped in and left.  It's amazing the youngsters didn't choke as they swallowed what looked like a rather huge supper whole!

The shots were taken at dusk and in the shade of the barn, so the light wasn't great but it was wonderful to watch this in the evenings.  A couple more shots below, including a rather poor image of the webcam, taken with my phone.
