Pour le KMSKA, l'artiste visuel Hans Op de Beeck a conçu un vaste parcours immersif à travers un lieu fictif et intrigant. Il y évoque de manière énigmatique et sombre un parc déserté de nuit, où se mêlent diverses figures, natures mortes, objets, animaux, structures architecturales et éléments naturels, immergeant ainsi le spectateur dans un univers déroutant.
Ici, le visiteur n’est pas un simple spectateur: il devient un compagnon de route, partie intégrante de l’œuvre. Les figures rencontrées au fil du parcours incarnent les différentes étapes de la vie, les émotions et les rituels du quotidien. Jeunes et vieux, humains et animaux, objets et éléments architecturaux s’entrelacent pour former un réseau d’associations à la fois familières et intimes. Baigné dans la lumière du crépuscule, l’ensemble dégage une aura mystérieuse, suscitant un sentiment d’étrangeté que chacun interprète à sa manière. 

An extraordinary exhibition !

For the KMSKA, visual artist Hans Op de Beeck creates one large, experiential trail through a fictional, mysterious place. It is a kind of enigmatic, dark evocation of a deserted nocturnal park, in which all kinds of images of characters, still lifes, objects, animals, architectural constructions and natural elements merge into a peculiar world.
As a visitor, you are not just a spectator but a fellow traveller who is part of the work of art. The characters present reflect different stages of life, emotions and everyday rituals. Both young and old, people and animals, objects and architectural installations evoke recognisable and personal associations. Dusk creates a mysterious atmosphere and an alienating feeling that is experienced differently by each visitor.
