August 26 - Day 26 - Kehilla Community Synagogue and Or Shalom

Hosted by Kehilla Community Synagogue, this beautiful rally brought together Bay Area Synagogues, and for awhile, I believe the entire staff of Hospitality House.

From the organizers - "On Monday, August 26th, 2019, in solidarity with migrant communities, leaders from Bay Area Synagogues and their allies in faith-based immigrant-justice networks join together to demand that immigrants and refugees be treated with the dignity that all people deserve. Our faith tradition teaches us to welcome the stranger, yet our government is betraying these sacred values by demonizing and rounding up immigrants, separating families, and denying people their rights to basic safety, dignity and due process. As Jews, we recognize these are dire warning signs and flagrant betrayals of our shared values. It’s up to US to STOP IT – Never Again means Now!"
