Rock Island at Tower 87 -- Dec 77 - a photo on Flickriver

            Rock Island GP7R #4552 leads a freight on the HB&T past the tower. 
In the background on the other side of the distant freeway was the Missouri Pacific Settegast Yard. 
Tower 87 was on the SP Sunset Route (ex T&NO) on the east side of Houston at Englewood Yard. The Houston Belt & Terminal crossed at the tower (the left to right line is the SP - east to the right). The tower was opened around 1910 and survived to the early 80's.
