Frías el ayuntamiento y la Iglesia Parroquial de San Vicente

            Las características casas, de planta baja de  dos o tres alturas, se adosan unas a otras formando calles. En sus estrechas fachadas aparecen piedras de toba, entramados de madera y una solana que remata el piso superior. Algunas cuelgan de la roca, desafiando a las leyes de la gravedad.

La iglesia de San Vicente fue la principal de Frías y parte de la fortaleza de la ciudad al situarse en uno de los extremos del cerro, a modo de espolón.

Se trataba de un templo románico del que se conservan escasos restos, ya que por desgracia se desplomó su torre en 1904 y se reconstruyó nuevamente.

Para colmo de males, la puerta románica, como otros valiosos patrimonios románicos castellanos, fue a parar al Museo de los Claustros (Museo Metropolitano) de Nueva York.

Por ello, más que la arquitectura hay que fijarse en los bienes muebles que atesora, como imágenes religiosas, retablos, sepulcros, cuadros, etc.
