finally a bit of colour! - a photo on Flickriver

            Ah, I've been a bit absent from Flickr this week... it's been pretty rubbish!

Molly's lump didn't go away so we went back to the vets... and that 98% has scaled down to 50/50 whether it's something trivial or something very, very bad. 

I explained to the vet (a much better one than we have seen) my reluctance to putting her under anesthetic with her heart condition and so he spent 3-4 minutes listening to her heart, he got his watch out and timed it and overall spent much more time assessing how her heart beat was .... and great news, she does not have a heart murmur. 

With that, I got up and said book her in as soon as you can and get the bugger of a lump off my dog! So on Monday, she's going under yet again, to remove the lump. 

If it is cancer (which my gut instinct says it is) then lets hope and pray it's stage one.... as that means by just removing the lump which we're doing anyway, will also get rid of the whole disease. I'll talk about stage 2 & 3 if I have to cross that bridge!

The vet did say that he does feel it's the trivial lump but to treat that would mean a month of antibiotics... can you imagine how awful it would be to put her on a month of tablets and then after all that time you find out it is cancer. I couldn't bear that.. so I booked her in for the most extreme option of surgery to remove. But I just think it's better to be safe than sorry. 

So yeah, anyone who reads this... please send some positive thoughts on Monday, I think I'll need it. The only thing keeping me going is that she is completely fine in every way other than that lump. She's still playing, fetching, up for walkies, appetite of a horse, cuddles and snuggles all the time...
