1977 Tyrrell-Ford P34

            Shown is a 1977 Tyrrell-Ford P34 Grand Prix Car, the only six-wheeled car to compete in Formula 1.

Introduced in 1976, the car was driven by 1979 World Champion Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler, scoring a one-two finish in the Swedish Grand Prix. 

For 1977, Scheckter moved to the new Wolf team and Patrick Depailler was joined by Ronnie Peterson. The car never took another victory and was replaced by a conventional four-wheeled car in 1978. 

Even now, these P34s look amazing, so imagine what they must have looked like at the time in comparison with the other cars of the period.
