Traditional Bon(fire) - a photo on Flickriver

Bonfires have been being built along the mississippi river between New Orleans and Baton Rouge for a very long time. The earliest photo documentation being in 1871. The are usually built in a standard shape similar to a tee pee or a tall pyramid which is exactly what this is.
