The other 'Train de Chocolat' - a photo on Flickriver

            The short metre-gauge branch line from Bulle to Broc-Fabrique was primarily built to serve the Cailler chocolate factory, and still does so. These days the freight is carried in standard gauge wagons on transporter bogies, and attached to regular passenger services.
Just two days before the centenary of the branch, modern railcar Be4/4 121 hauls a train of standard gauge wagons towards Epagny at 08:42 on 22nd June 2012. Gruyères castle is visible in the background, with a commanding view of the surrounding area.
The two vans are probably empty, having delivered pallets of cocoa, nuts and packaging materials to the factory; the bogie sugar hopper will also be empty. Chocolate is usually shipped out in refrigerated vans.
