The Commercial's Colorful Crossing - a photo on Flickriver

            There are many great spots to see the Minnesota Commercial in the Twin Cities, but this is my favorite, and I'd argue most scenic.  The job from the Hiawatha District is on its way back home to Merriam Park over in Saint Paul and makes its crossing over the Mississippi River over the 1880-built Milwaukee Road bridge.  It's a bridge that's hosted many passenger trains to and from Minneapolis' Milwaukee Road Depot downtown.  Today, the bridge is still supporting some of the last business in southeastern Minneapolis including one scrap metal shipper and the ADM Atkinson Mill.  I am operating under the premise: "Shoot it while you can."
