J. Spitler Log House - Seneca County, OH

            An awesome abandoned building in Bloom Township. It was probably constructed in the 1830s or 1840s, and expanded/remodeled shortly after. The log portion on the right measures 24' x 18', with the logs themselves being about 16" x 7". This house has been abandoned so long it is not even indicated on the USGS topo map, which is generally good about showing buildings.

In 1874, the property was owned by J. Spitler.
