Insurgent - a photo on Flickriver

Insurgent

            A French Resistance fighter is preparing to plant explosives on the railroad track to sabotage Nazi troop movements during WWII.  Or, at least that is what is being reenacted here, during the "Anzio Express & North Platte Canteen" WWII re-enactment at the Illinois Railway Museum.  

This event no longer held at IRM, and has instead moved on to the Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin.  FRTM is a much smaller venue and thanks to some contradictory planning by the City of Elgin, as of April 2018, the future of this event is in doubt.
