River fog under a bridge in Redding - a photo on Flickriver

            We planned to use Redding, CA as a base to explore Lassen Peaks and Mt. Shasta in May 2010.  We hit the area just as a major storm came through, plus the roads into Lassen were still closed by snow. We had no chance of seeing either place so we spent some time in Redding and then headed for the coast. However, the city did have a nice feel to it and I bet it would be a great place on a nice day.
