FL, Vilano Beach-Blue Bird of Happiness Statue

            Mr. Blue Bird sits at the entrance to the Vilano Beach fishing pier. A little research found that he originated back in the 1940s and was painted orange to promote Florida oranges. He began deteriorating and was purchased by the wife of a motel owner and transformed into the Blue Bird of Happiness. In 2008 the Main Street Group brought him to Vilano Beach and placed him on the fishing pier to greet visitors and pose for pictures.
