The Path of the Faeries - a photo on Flickriver

            Here's another view inside the wooden glens in the Faerie Glen on Skye.  I have tried to identify these gnarled trees are, but my skills as an arborist leave much to be be desired.  In the photos that I have of these trees, most of the leaves appear to be from birches.  But rowan trees can be found in this part of Scotland, so some of those could be mixed in.  A field guide to trees and plants would have helped here.
