WESTERN SCOTTISH KL600 YSD350L - a photo on Flickriver

            YSD350L was a Leyland Leopard PSU3/3R / Alexander Y Type C49F purchased new by Western SMT as their L2390 in April 1973. It was stolen and crashed by joyriders at Largs leading to extensive rear end damage, so the opportunity was taken to shorten it to 30 feet for use on the Erskine town service which used some restricted access roads. Eventually it was transferred to Northern as their NPE1 . Strangely it would return to Western later on, before finding it's way into preservation.
