Conrail 7604 Smokin' - a photo on Flickriver

            Conrail RS-11 7604 arrives at Lima, NY on March 23, 1977. This was the South end of the Lehigh Valleys Rochester Branch, which used to extend to Hemlock, NY at one time. I rode my bike the 6 miles to Lima on this day to catch the local, and I got there before the train. I could tell when my school bus crossed the branch at East Henrietta Road up in Henrietta that the train had gone down the branch because the snow was cleaned off the rails at the crossing. I shot a lot of B&W then as I was taking a photography class at school.
