As many might know... I love gardening and love photography, and so many times those hobbies collide, and so it was today when I went to gardening class at North Haven Gardens. Today's class was all about succulents and planting them in vintage containers. Paula is a Texas Master Gardener with a special love for succulents. She has been growing succulents for about 10 years and even has a 200 square foot greenhouse/barn devoted to her succulents. She is passionate about these plants and I must say... her passion is catching! Her class was such fun! And she even showed us how to drill into metal containers, pottery and china to be used in place of the traditional flower pot. I think she has ignited a new passion in me!

I asked Paula if she would be my stranger and explained the 16 Week Stranger Challenge that I am doing with the Rowlett Photo Club as well as the 100 Strangers project on flickr, and she agreed to have me photograph her. I loved this photo the best as you can see the enthusiasm in her face and thought it was fun with the sculpture.

Thank you Paula for your excellent class and for agreeing to be a stranger. Now if you will excuse me... I must go out and buy a few more succulents!
