Explored! Hot Air Balloon Birthday Cake

Just finished up this cake this morning in time for my nephew's first birthday party! It's hard to believe he's a year old already!

I used a soccer ball pan (about 9" round) and a 10" square to create the balloon. It's a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream filling. Frosted in vanilla buttercream and then covered in white chocolate fondant. The "clouds" are lemon cupcakes and frosted in vanilla buttercream. They used one of the "clouds" as the smash cake. The elephant and other decorations are fondant & gumpaste.
