Deadvlei, Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia

Looks like a scene in a science fiction movie? This is Deadvlei, a white clay pan, inside in the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia. Also written DeadVlei or Dead Vlei, its name means “dead marsh” (Vlei being Afrikaans for a type of marsh). According to Atlas Obscura, Deadvlei is surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world, some of which, tower at 1,312 feet high. Could this surrealistic landscape of Deadvlei possibly be the most beautiful ‘dead’ place you will ever see?
