Macro Monday: #ChildhoodToys

... But as a kid I played, like obviously so many others in this group, with Matchbox cars ;-) I would have loved to show the whole car, actually I had my capture of the Hot Wheels DC Character Cars Harley Quinn™ Sketched Series 2017 car on the Siemens star (an old one printed on paper and not perfectly round) processed, finished, ready for upload last night already... and then had the MARVELlous idea to (re-)measure the car. Dang it. The car alone is 7,5 cm / 3 inches long, so my frame was 8,5 cm / 3,34 inches. Why make things easy? Come on, guys, it's MM, it has to be complicated. Somehow. And if the capture itself isn't, my subconcious mind obvioulsly decided to lend a hand in making things complicated. Or my inner child wanted to have some fun. Or... whatever ;-) Well, this explains why I'm late in the game again, because I had to take a new photo today with the car cropped. Rrrrrrrrrrrr. Which is also the sound a car makes when the wheels spin. One thing I changed is that I didn't put the car directly on the Siemens star, but put the printed Siemens star underneath the small glass table (which I just bought the other day for more oil on water captures to make the setup easier) so it would be a little blurry. Should have probably cleaned the glass surface first, but you can't have everything, right? I actually like it better with the blurry Siemens star, so there is always a good side to everything.
Processed in Luminar 3 - Accent-AI Filter set to 31, Detail Enhancer: small and medium details set to 100, large details set to 51 -, and Analog Efex, Preset 7: enhanced the contrast, added a round vignette, Film "subtle" / soft. That's it.
A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!
Und ich fahre noch nicht einmal...
...habe aber, wie so viele andere in dieser Gruppe auch, als Kind mit Matchbox-Autos gespielt ;-) Gern hätte ich das ganze Auto gezeigt, hatte sogar das Foto gestern Abend fix und fertig, entwickelt, mit Signatur versehen, bereit zum Hochladen, kam dann aber auf die grandiose Idee, "sicherheitshalber" noch einmal nachzumessen... *hust*... und musste feststellen, dass das Auto allein bereits 7,5 cm lang ist. Und wir dürfen doch nur 7,6 cm für MMs... Und selbst nach dem radikalen Beschneiden war das Ganze immer noch 8,5 cm x 8,5 cm groß. Warum einfach, wenn es auch kompliziert geht? Wir sind ja schließlich bei Macro Monday, oder? Da die Aufnahme selbst schon so einfach war, wollte mein Unterbewusstsein offensichtlich etwas nachhelfen. Also heute das Ganze von vorn. Rrrrrrrrrr (u.a. der Klang durchdrehender Reifen). Was ich hier anders gemacht habe, ist, den Siemensstern unter das Glasstischchen, auf das ich das Auto gestellt hatte, zu legen, statt das Auto direkt auf den Siemensstern. Der Siemensstern ist auf Papier ausgedruckt (irgendwann mal zu Foto-Testzwecken) und die Strahlen sind nicht ganz gleichmäßig, was es schwierig machte, das Auto perfekt darauf zu platzieren. Leicht verschwommen war es einfacher und es gefällt mir auch besser - so hat die ganze Sache also auch etwas Gutes. Das Auto ist übrigens ein "Mattel Hot Wheels DC Character Cars Harley Quinn™ Sketched Series" Modell von 2017. Die Catwoman-Variante hätte ich lieber gehabt, aber "die Guten" waren natürlich im Spielzeugladen längst vergriffen, weshalb ich mich mit dem Auto der "Bösewichtin" begnügen musste.
