Mirror Lake - a photo on Flickriver

Mirror Lake

            A large round pool at an abandoned iron ore processing facility, photographed not long after the 2013 spring thaw … one from the archives that I never posted.

This seems too elaborate to be just an intake point, so I’m guessing it was a settling pond for water that was used to wash ore. Maybe I’d have a clearer understanding if I’d walked out on the pipes and seen what was in the middle, but back then I had this aversion to falling, drowning and freezing. Still do, in fact.
