MIMI..day #1 of leash training - a photo on Flickriver

            This is the runt........Mimi.......wearing her new cat collar that as of today....is torn to shreds.  So...until the stores open after Easter, Mimi has no collar. Puppy collars were too big, so we had to  get a kitty collar.

This was  the first day that Mimi had a leash attached to her collar.  As you can see.....she did not like it at all.  

In the beginning, Mimi could stay in my yard with me with no collar on at all and then immediately come right back in the house.  Not anymore.....  She looks at me....takes off running and plays "You can't catch me"....as I get within two inches of her and she runs in the opposite direction.  Talk about frustration....when you "almost" grab her and you feel like you have fur in your fingers as she has already run ten feet away....like a little sprinter running a race.

She is so little.....but oh my gosh.....this little thing is so fast and very sassy.  The car keys jingle and she thinks it is time to go.  Well now....if she does not put on her leash....she cannot go.  Ah ha....I am outsmarting Mimi.  ; )

SO NOW.....Miss Mimi MUST wear a dog leash.  Yes, Mimi and I both almost got hit by a car when she ran out in the street and I ran after her, as I was sure I was going to witness her get hit by a truck.  They stopped......smiled.....rolled down their window and said "We wouldn't have hit her".....but still.  She is so little....who knows if someone would even have seen her.

This shot was taken along the Allegheny River in East Brady.  My beloved old East Brady bridge....that will soon be history.  

The new East Brady bridge will soon be open.  It is built behind this one.....not sure if you can see it viewed large, as I haven't checked.  The new one will now permit large boats....like the Gateway Clipper from Pittsburgh....to come and go under.  It also will now be safer when we get our yearly ice jams....as a matter of fact, I never posted my ice jam photos.  it's a sight to see....

Well....hope you all have had a wonderful Easter......it is snowing here today.  Wish it was as crystal clear today as it was the day I took Mimi down to see the river and the good old East Brady bridge.

I think Mimi would turn out to be a much nicer dog if she didn't have the influence of another dog...named Molly....the chewer...the destroyer...the big lovebug who just looks at you as to say....I am sorry....AGAIN

Both pups are sweet.....possibly I am too much of a pushover to train them BOTH properly

Must NOW babyproof the house for this rascal....she DIGS my houseplants up by the roots and leaves NOTHING...but a pile of dirt everywhere

Right now....she is in her pet carrier.....broken collar...cannot use leash and don't trust her.....even to turn my back for fear something else will get ruined. All will be better when she gets new collar
